Guest Blogger number two in this series is Jane Malyon from The English Cream Tea Company!
My most recent Failure was about remaining calm and logical re dealing with my first Christmas without our sons around, both now having emigrated. Despite brain telling me how many days it was until I'd see them again, heart and stomach yearned for their noise, hugs and chaos. Sigh.
On a more business-related matter, I also failed to finish the book I'm writing despite it being 99% complete and simply needing me to be locked up without supper until it's done. Another sigh. Also, I am not size 10 (not even one leg is) and my clutter remains in situ, despite aspirations for transformations.
However, it turns out there are some awesome reasons why much of the above is the case - and that's mainly because of some exciting 'successes' and adventures this year! Rather randomly, I began The English Cream Tea Company in May and can now create and send out premium hamper boxes of either delicious Afternoon Tea or English Picnics, all over the country. Already I've won awards (eg KPI Product of the Year) and achieved the Guinness World Record for the World's Largest English Cream Tea Party. Fabulous. And for me the biggest success, is in the kind and apparently willing support I've received from all around, in helping me with my venture. It's been completely heart-warming!
So here's to 2012 with its successes and failures...and hoping I can smile through both!
I met Jane earlier this year when she was hosting a fabulous dinner for shareholders of a business I was working with, we'd arrived a little late due to traffic and she was such a dote, taking extra special care of me, making sure I had everything I needed to make the event go smoothly.
Jane is a qualified trainer/coach, writer and speaker, she also has a passion for afternoon tea and all the nice manners and pleasantries that go with it.
2011 saw her create The English Cream Tea Company which delivers fresh and indulgent afternoon tea all over the country, The English Cream Tea hamper boxes contain the whole swish "London hotel" experience; from the cocktail sandwiches to scones, cream and cakes, the full works! They also send English Picnic hampers too, perfect as gifts or for outings.
The hamper boxes are complete and utter treats, and save a lot of time and hassle which means more time enjoying the outing and the good company you're with!
So Jane has moved from helping people to feel special through coaching, to doing so by delivering delicious goodies made with love!
